Keystone Project

Our Properties

Keystone

Prime Nevada Location

In the Heart of the Famed Cortez Gold Trend

The Keystone project is a very under-explored, Tertiary (34.1+/-0.7 Ma), complex intrusive-centered, domed, permissive carbonates, lower-plate window in the heart of Nevada gold country. Modern-day, systematic, model-driven exploration has never been conducted on the property. The area possesses strong, widespread gold and pathfinder geochemistry, especially arsenic and zinc, in the soil and rock samples indicate a very large potential epithermal gold system is present. Historical drilling in the area has produced high grade and thick intercepts of gold.

Location

Keystone is positioned on the prolific Cortez gold trend, one of the world’s leading gold producing regions.

  • Keystone’s property position is approximately 12 square miles (>7,500 acres)
  • The Keystone property occurs along a strong north-northwest trending gravity and magnetics linear that also includes the Gold Bar Deposit to the southeast
  • Encompasses extensive Hydrothermal Alteration System with strong gold and arsenic signature
  • Regional and Range-front Structural Zones
  • Cortez Hills and Goldrush-type untested 27 ppm Au “Ore Grade” Gold Targets
  • Target is Cortez Hills-type deposit at shallow to moderate depths

Highlights

“The best exploration project I have seen in my career... reminds me of the Railroad project on steroids”

– Dave Mathewson

  • Keystone Gold District’s initial target is >1 million ounces of gold
  • Project potential > 10 million ounces of gold
  • Keystone Gold District is located in “Nevada Elephant Country” with numerous > 20 million ounce gold deposits
    • Nevada hosts some of the world’s most prolific gold mining belts and remains the cornerstone to Barrick and Newmont’s gold production
  • Over the past 50 years, the Cortez and Carlin trends in Nevada have produced more than 245 million ounces of gold

Gravity Survey

A property wide gravity survey was completed in July, 2016. Its results helped define our 2016 drill targets.

  • It was led by Jim Wright of Wright Geophysics
  • It incorporated Nevada-Pacific 2003 gravity survey data
  • It incorporated Placer Dome 2005 IP survey data
  • Results look very favorable for Cortez type geology to host major potential deposits

Keystone, Dave Mathewson’s Latest Exploration Target

Dave Mathewson is a geologist-explorer with 35 years of exploration experience in Nevada alone. Mr. Mathewson’s notable discoveries made while Head of Newmont Nevada’s Exploration team from 1989 through 2001 include: Tess, Northwest Rain, Saddle and South Emigrant in the Rain mining district. From 1999-2001 His team made important deposit extension discoveries at Newmont’s Gold Quarry and Mike deposits. Most recently, Mr. Mathewson’s work at Gold Standard Ventures led to the consolidation of the Railroad-Pinion district and the North Bullion & Bald Mountain discoveries.

Development Plans

With the help of Dave Mathewson and his team, we plan to ramp up exploration and development on the Keystone project view geophysical work, acquiring permits for drilling and the commencement of drilling.
